Please, take a seat. Over there on the chaise lounge - oh mind the crystal dear! Welcome to The Powder Room ladies. Please relax, remove your peep toes, have a mini tea cake. Tea? One lump of sugar or two?
Now my lovelies, time to shake off the mundane. For here you should not have a care in the world - except for deciding which corset would look best with your new cuban heeled stockings. Or which item of headwear is most complimentary to that beautiful 1940's reproduction wiggle dress...

Zoe O'Neill as Ella Jezebella
Now that you feel at home, please allow us to introduce ourselves.
The Powder Room was created by Zoe O'Neill, a young entrepreneurial Perthian with a love of beautiful things, a crippling shoe addiction and an idea. To her friends and loved ones, she is referred to as "The Gypsy". When performing burlesque or out for a night in her corsetted best, you may call her Ella Jezebella. Finally, when on the dance floor, or on stage (or cage as the case may be) grooving to swingin' sixties beats, she is one of Les Sataniques retro Go-Go dancers. Working as a dancer and stylist while completing a law degree, she has begun to follow in her family's footsteps by pursuing fashion design in the form of The Powder Room's headwear range.
Courtney Hudson is a fellow performance and costume enthusiast (and Shoe-aholics anonymous attendee). She is also Perth's freshest up and coming makeup artiste working in stage, film and fashion and her partiality to retro/vintage glam has seen her transform girls so magnificently that even Betty would turn a new Paige! Her alter ego Miss Mystique de la Bouche has been known to send audiences a flutter when she takes to the stage adorned in her vintage wear and can't wait to get her hands on the products from The Powder Room. Keep an eye out for her work at future shoots and events - you'll surely spot her armed with a teasing comb, red lippy and Pin Up Polly heels! Feel free to leave her a message on the contacts page. The common thread here is that we never quite outgrew 'dress ups' or a love of physical expression of personality, through what one wears. However, after many years spent as poor students, we also grew frustrated that pin-up and burlesque fashions were often out of our price range. We despaired at the general lack of such products in Perth (although this sleepy little town is developing quite the underground burlesque and alternative scene of late). Seizing on this The Powder Room was created as a source of vintage, burlesque and pin-up style clothing and accessories. We do the leg work for you, and help you look and feel your fabulous best.
We aim to stock a range for all the looks you could want, be it Vivacious Vixen, Perfect Pin-up, Burlesque Queen, Rockabilly Swinger, Old Hollywood Glamour Diva, Sassy Flapper and so forth. If you are looking for something specific, please let usknow and we shall try and source what you are after.
We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver the goods your heart desires. Please enter The Powder Room again, and look out for us at various markets around Perth.
